2^nd week of holidays…

what have I been doing so far?

This can be easily classified into 3 categories;

1. Preparing to eat

2. Eating

3. After Eating

Yea..it evolved around the same theme..EATING. =)

1. Preparing to eat..

It’s more appropriately described as d preparation for a meal. Well, mum decided to rekindle her passion for LAKSA (cook laksa; not to eat..yea, dat’s my mum:P) so she plunged into a marketing spree for all the laksa ingredients and came up with a massive pot of laksa. After packing it into containers, all were distributed to fellow CG members,colleagues, neighbours.

This is what happened behind the scenes for the nicely-packed-Tham’s-special-recipe-laksa..

LEAVES!! Mint leaves, curry leaves? whichever type they were.. dey form mini hills.

we sat there picking the leaves from the stalks..for erm, 2 hours?

FISH!! Many many fish..(or fishes). De-boning them was very tricky..

Well, if u know dis penangite, me well..u’d know I have this thing against laksa. =P

Nop..i don’t. (repeat) DON’T like..sorry, I LOATHE laksa.

I had resorted to save myself from this laksa-oriented-meal by eating rice instead. This terriyaki recipe for grilled chicken was quite easy to prepare, so sis showed me how.

So………taraaaa.........

Definitely gonna cook it again..=)

2. Eating

Today we went to Mizi Bistro (not exactly a bistro) @New World Park to have the set lunch. What’s the occasion?? Jo Ann’s back! Came back after convo for a nice little break before pursuing PhD. Yaa..we told her she’ll get dis Permanent Head Damage disease..but well, she’s determined.

gee, I cant imagine myself furthering studies after 5 years of Dentistry..i can imagine working tho..then again, dat’s me. :D

RM19.90 for a western set lunch.

It’s goooooood..recommend all to go.

3. After Eating

This was last night...after dinner.. my family went to queensbay mall to shop. Along the way, caught sight of this 3D-assemble-it-yourself model. Really cool.. thinking bout getting a set to fix.

Well, if we had not gone to Qbay or anywhere else for a stroll, wat usually happens is this….

Dad and isaac asleep at the couch in front of the tv. -.- this was during the Beijing Olympics 2008 opening ceremony’s live telecast. When dere’s the combination of the couch and the tv.. no matter what’s showing on tv.. sleeping seems to be the better option.

Cant wait for all that’s in store for the rest of the holidays..=)

IPOH- part 2 =)

Once there was a lil girl named Goldilocks, who was much too curious.

One day, in the forest, she happened to notice a strange lil house. She knocked on the door, but there was no response, “what, nobody home?” she said, and opened the door.

On the table, she found 3 bowls of porridge. The largest one was too hot.

The medium sized one was not hot enough.

But the smallest one was just nice,

so she ate it all up.

Then she found 3 chairs. The largest one was too hard.

The medium sized one was too soft.

But the smallest one was just right. So she sat down in it..........

and broke it all to pieces.

Then she found 3 beds. The first was too hard.

The next was too soft.

But the last bed was comfortable as could be, so she lay down, and fell fast asleep.

Now, whatever she may have dreamt, she certainly did not dream dat the house belonged to 3 bears.

Soon, the bears came home from their morning walk.

“Someone’s been eating my porridge!” growled Papa bear.

“Someone’s been eating my porridge too!” muttered Mama bear.

“someone’s been eating my porridge.....

and has eaten it all up!” squeaked Baby bear.

Then, the bears decided to sit down.

“Someone’s been sitting in my chair!” growled Papa bear.

“Someone’s been sitting in my chair!” growled Mama bear.

“Someone’s been sitting in my chair too!” squeaked Baby bear.

“And it’s all broken all to pieces!”

Cautiously, the bears tiptoed into the bedroom.

“Someone’s been sleeping in my bed!” growled Papa bear.

“Someone’s been sleeping in my bed!” muttered Mama bear.

“Someone’s been sleeping in my bed too!” squeaked Baby bear.

“and just look – here she is!”

When Goldilocks heard the bears, she awoke with a terrible fright. She jumped out of bed, raced to the door and ran away as quickly as she could run.

After that, she was not quite so ready to go into strange houses, when nobody was home.

IPOH

yes! we went to IPOH for our year end trip. dat's d start of our 2nd year SIX-weeks break. oolala..:D

though it was a rather last minute trip..we totally enjoyed ourselves. the course of our journey consists of:

1. gua tempurung - cave adventure
2. kampar -
gerviene's house:duriansssss, min pau kai
3. ipoh -
jusco; big apple, nga choi kai, tau fu fah, heong peng, dim sum, ei leng's house..
4. bukit merah - waterpark
5. tambun - seafood and kelvin's bday celebration..

it was a trip that has many:
- delicioius food stops..
- lame jokes
- exhilarating adventures

and of course...

the best part was the strengthening of friendships...and learning to appreciate the 3more years to come.

Hols..

3rd CA's over.. and dere's only half the post-CA hols left..=)

so glad to be home after 4 days in subang..stayed in kaima's place.

Mel's application for Sime Darby scholarship got thru. so..out of 3000 applicants...she was one of the 80 dat were selected for this KL interview. 1st round. within dis week, if she's shortlisted again, she'll go for a 2nd round interview - dey are scaling it down to 40. at d end of it all, only 20 will b given d scholarship - 10 local, 10 overseas. yeaa...she applied for d overseas one. so, praying hard dat she'll get.


J.CO's donuts..a must-try. better than Dunkins, no doubt. bought them 2 days in a row! hehe..

errhhmm.. yaa, since her very loving sister (dat's ME!) cudnt go for d interview with her, she made full use of her day. =D

manage to meet up with charis, phebe, alice, CY and melvin. had lots of fun in Sunway Lagoon..yea, we went on all those rides dat'll make u dizzy. those pics are yet to b uploaded tho. after sunway lagoon, we headed to Italianese. below are d pics..snapshots of d yummy italian cuisine we had.. *burppp.

dis wonderful godbrother of mine turned 24 on wed. =D old.. we woke him up in d mid of d night along with 2 of his 'bestest' fren, errhm shu yi *wink *wink and chien aun. dere was a family dinner d following nite.
